Nubra Ecolodge
Nubra Ecolodge is located near Sumur sand dunes in the Nubra Valley. A beautiful land with fantastical and surreal landscapes. It is a true representation of splendid beauty with lofty mountains, deep blue water, white dunes, Buddhist monuments, beautiful mosques and warm people. Guests can arrive at the hotel through the Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and Jammu Tawi Railway Station which are well connected to the major cities. The Main house has three guestrooms. It also has a common dining room, kitchen and traditional living area. A large open deck facing the valley near the vegetable garden is used as a lounge or for dining in fair weather. Home cooked local ladakhi and Indian cuisine with a fixed menu will be served at on-site restaurant. Ideal location to go for long walks along the Sumur sand dunes along the nubra river. Campfire and local music and dance can be arranged on request at extra cost. Nubra Ecolodge is a Child Friendly hotel & offers child services and kids meal(on prior request only). The lodge has its farm where they have a organic vegetable garden and a small green house for the winter. It also has four Safari Tents and two Cottages and have located them so as to get the best views of the snow capped mountains and the nubra river. Nubra Ecolodge is an oasis of peace and tranquility!
Five Cottages with decks and Four Safari Tents with decks and en suite bathrooms all facing the snow capped mountains and nubra river valley. The Main house has a GuestRoom with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor and four GuestRooms on the first floor with a large terrace. All the rooms can accommodate one extra bed. The meals are served in the traditional dining or on the open deck in good weather.
Nubra is not connected to the electricity grid, it only gets diesel generated power between 7 and 11pm. Only BSNL mobile network will work in Nubra. For Indian Nationals, Inner Line Permits are required to travel to Nubra. You can apply online here http://www.lahdclehpermit.in/contactfl.php print and submit with ID at the Tourism office in Leh ( opposite J&K Bank, Main market) All foreign nationals will need a Protected Area Permit to visit Nubra. please contact a local travel agent in Leh and get them the day your arrive in Leh. Cottage : The five cottages are located to get the best experience of the nubra valley landscape, surrounded by a view of the snow capped himalayas, the sand dunes and the river flowing at a distance. The cottages have large windows and a deck with its canvas tent roof. The cottage room has a king sized bed or option to have twin beds and also can accommodate a extra bed on request at a cost.
Safari Tent : The four Safari Tents are located with the best views of the mountains and valley. The tents are on a raised platform with a large room and permanent toilets and dress attached. They also have a large deck with a view. It has a king sized bed with option for twin beds and also can accommodate an extra bed on request at a cost.
Guest Room : The Main house has a GuestRoom with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor and four GuestRooms on the first floor with a large terrace. The rooms have king sized beds or option for twin beds and also can accommodate one extra bed at a cost. With the other common spaces in the house this is ideal for large groups also.
